Who Qualifies For A Bursary Or University Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application process.
Applications are now open and may shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must fulfill the following criteria:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a home using a combined gross family earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 per annum.
• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined family income would not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and want not submit any evidence of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent people from households with combined R350 000 and nsfas 2025 R600 000 for each annum.
Applicants are reminded to deliver the correct Identification Doc numbers, names, and surname, click here as reflected within their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are researching or intend to study at a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously nsfas application and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
